Guided by the vision of creating a future where sustainable fashion becomes a norm, not an exception, ReClothing embarked on a mission to educate, inspire, and connect people by offering environmentally responsible alternatives.Why do we do this? According to the latest statistics released by the European Commission, the EU annually discards 5.8 million tons of textiles, indicating that, on average, a European disposes of about 12 kg of clothing every year. Only 1% of the material used for clothing production is subsequently recycled. Moreover, the industry ranks among the top in pollution, as textile production is among the top three industries that consume the most water during production.Founded in 2021 within JCI Cluj, ReClothing started as more of an experiment. It served as the perfect platform to test and validate an idea—an idea born out of a problem observed in our own wardrobes or those of our friends, and strongly supported by alarming statistics in the fashion industry. And because it resonated with the public... it quickly became a platform for raising awareness about the way we "consume" clothes—while also providing solutions to reduce waste.Over the three years since the project's inception, nearly 5 tons of clothing have been collected, and 10 events have been organized, bringing sustainable alternatives to the community through the sale of preloved items (second hand), as well as interactive workshops (textile painting, repairs), artistic demonstrations of upcycling, or styling sessions.

For almost a year and a half I worked as a reporter and correspondent at Realitatea TV. I covered all important events in Cluj and also did stories related to different areas of interest (local administration, education and industry). As a television reporter, my role was to be the eyes and ears of the audience, navigating the fast-paced world of news reporting. From researching and investigating stories to conducting interviews and presenting on-air, I crafted compelling and accurate scripts for news segments, bringing stories to life through multimedia elements. The job demanded adaptability, as I covered a spectrum of topics and events, from breaking news to feature stories. Juggling tight deadlines, collaborating with a diverse team, and staying current with industry trends were all part of the daily routine.
