Joikko Agro is a for- profit company aiming to develop a social franchise consisting of a network of farmer centers in rural Bangladesh, facilitate contract farming agreements, and to help create additional commercial relationships with domestic and export food companies. The goal is to create a sustainable and scalable operating model that can be replicated in other parts of Bangladesh and provide the model for expansion in other countries. Joikko Agro will replace the Growing Together partnership established by Syngenta and VSO in 2014 and which already made a big impact in the lives of smallholder farmers in rural northwest Bangladesh.
