Scientist IPersuasive Dx Mar 2023 - PresentUtrecht, NetherlandsAs a Scientist within a start-up with a dedicated biomarker research team, I am at the forefront of pioneering discoveries in the field of chronic coronary syndrome diagnostics. My primary focus centers on the exploration of a proprietary panel of extracellular vesicle protein signatures, specifically designed for identifying stable angina patients. Collaborating closely with our team, we are dedicated to the development of cutting-edge In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) assay technology. My current responsibilities involve overseeing various aspects of our ongoing R&D, management of the team, and ongoing projects, as well as operational managerial tasks. I am actively engaged in meticulously planning, preparing, and executing laboratory experiments, data analysis, and quality control performance. My expertise extends to assay development and problem-solving, with a particular emphasis on vesicle isolation techniques and biomarker detection assays. In addition to my research role, I am involved in a project management role, coordinating multiple research projects, allocating resources, and making crucial decisions to keep PERUASIVE's initiatives on track. In this capacity, I also have the privilege of guiding and mentoring junior team members, including lab technicians, assistant scientists, and research interns. As a member of a startup team aiming to the development of an IVD assay technology, I also ensure that we follow regulatory compliance, and follow all regulatory requirements and guidelines.Lastly, in my role, I am in frequent communication with medical experts, stakeholders, and investors, to optimize our methods, exchange knowledge, and acquire research funding. For this purpose, I am in part responsible for the review and reporting of ongoing projects and grants. -
Research AnalystPersuasive Dx Mar 2022 - Mar 2023Utrecht, NetherlandsThe focus of this position is researching a panel of patented biomarker extracellular vesicle protein signatures used to identify stable angina patients. Using this panel we are in the process of developing an early diagnostic business case for chronic coronary syndrome, aiming to develop an IVD assay technology. In this role, I am managing multiple projects in which we are isolating vesicles via different methods, supporting decision-making processes and laboratory management activities, while also being the daily supervisor of three master students in their major internships. Moreover, I am executing and testing assay protocols, from experiment design to data collection, while performing data analysis, and identifying areas of improvement, tracking, and troubleshooting bugs during the assay development process. -

Cardiology Research Assistant / Data AnalystSt. Antonius Hospital Nieuwegein, The Netherlands Sep 2018 - Sep 2019Nieuwegein, The NetherlandsIn this position, I conducted research on the effect of antiplatelet therapy on elderly patients and the different effects of antiplatelet therapy across populations, while utilizing data science techniques to identify factors affecting antiplatelet therapy success in elderly acute coronary syndrome (ACS) patients. With my team, we converted data into actionable insights and employed SPSS statistical software and office skills to track and analyze clinical and follow-up data, leading to a significant breakthrough, thus generating reports that identify the impact of renal function on platelet reactivity and the clinical outcome in ACS patients participating in the POPular AGE study.-Data analysis, munging, and mining-SPSS-LaTeX -
