From within the Science/Research Department, I served as the machine learning and infrastructure engineer of the team. Key projects and responsibilities are listed here:• Development and maintenance of the MLOps infrastructure of the company. This project encompasses the entire machine learning lifecycle, from experimentation to model deployment and re-training• In collaboration with Research Scientists, I produced usable demos (in the form of web applications) that would expose research projects to the rest of the company and clients• Maintained and developed the cloud infrastructure of the team (Kubernetes, Docker, AWSservices)• Participated in the development of the company's data engineering platform.• Engineering research on the use of novel libraries and infrastructure within the company

As part of the Network Data Science and Software team at Sky, I was involved in developing applications and models for forecasting and planning the broadband network. During my time at Sky I:• Led the development of a Django web application that is pivotal to the operation of multiple teams at Sky. The application consisted of a SQL database, a user interface, and exposed RESTful APIs.• Headed the creation of the DevOps and CI/CD infrastructure for the team• Lead the cloud migration of the teams' infrastructure to Google Cloud Computing • Analysed large amount of network data to investigate network congestions• Participated in the development of the open-sourced forecasting tool developed by the team: AnticiPy

The iPhD (integrated MSc and PhD) was at the EPSRC Centre of Doctoral Training in Next Generation Computational Modelling. The PhD research was focused on designing mathematical and computational models for simulating high power optical systems. The thesis title is: "Multimodal simulations of fibre optical parametric amplifiers and oscillators".

Consulted the engineering team on binding legacy and novel software.

As part of a collaboration of the NGCM CDT and KTN the students of the doctoral centre produced a consultancy project regarding the simulations best practice in industry. The study highlighted different parts of simulation techniques and their application to both industry and academia.

Under the supervision of the operations and technical teams, I was able to learn about a beacon of worldwide trade.This internship gave me a fantastic insight into the internal workings of a company and taught me many valuable assets including teamwork, working within a fast pace environment, working under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
