My role consists of undertaking a high level of evidence-based practice within MSK. I am autonomous and independent at managing a diverse and often complex caseload. I support the Clinical Lead with management and leadership responsibilities on a regular basis, such as, triage of referrals, managing the open caseload, monitoring waiting lists and organising diaries for team meetings and in-service training. I am also involved in the process of shortlisting, interviewing and recruitment of staff. I have been a Practice Educator for the last 5 years, supervising undergraduate students from Southampton and Winchester Universities. Additionally, I provide clinical supervision and mentoring of more junior staff on a monthly basis. As head of the infection control in the department, I conduct a hand washing audit quarterly.
