Throughout my life, history has always been my passion. Studying two history courses at college, inspired me to continue on to University to develop my historical skills, having gained upper second class honours in History at the University of Lincoln and a distinction for my masters degree. During my year out between my courses, I gained hands on experience in restoration and conservation of canals, gaining a level two diploma in traditional heritage skills. This included, stone masonry, brick laying, lime mortar and an understanding of good and bad restoration. My undergraduate dissertation focused on art history, studying Artemisia Gentileschi. I achieved a first in this project and the library holds a copy for the use of other students. My graduate dissertation, which I was awarded a distinction, focused on museum representation of the Titanic, examining the different museum designs, motives and history of the exhibiting of the disaster.
