About Iona Sobral

I am currently working in landscape architecture, with a focus on design for climate management. I graduated from a masters in Landscape Architecture (M.LA) at UdeM. I am passionate about the environment, urban resilience and sustainability. I graduated from McGill University in April 2018 with a B.Sc. in Environment (Honours), in the concentration Land Surface Processes and Environmental Change. My research focused on microclimatic effects of community gardens and rooftop gardens within an urban setting.I am a working immigrant in Canada, with US permanent residency as well as French and Portuguese citizenship. I speak English, French, and Spanish at native level, with a proficiency in Portuguese.
