This position has given me the opportunity to combine my experience of IT and digital development with the element of business. I was responsible for a versatile portfolio of projects, such as the tender for our external workforce in addition to building new business concepts to balance out the impact of COVID-19.

My responsibilities included representing the IT-department in the development process of a tailored version of NAV Dynamics (ERP). I also facilitated the problem solving process with various stakeholders to overcome critical problems in production, and in general acted as a liaison between business and IT in order to get things done.

After an extensive period working in the retail environment, I was eager to try something that would challenge me in different ways. Also, I was keen to brush up on my digital skills and gain a better understanding. During my time as a Digi Trainee, I was a primarily a member of the team developing VR's new website: https://uusi.vr.fi/ , where I was responsible for user testing (UAT). I also reenforced the testing capacity for other development projects, such as the ticket vending machine and VR Matkalla -application, helped with English translations and coordinated the pilot user group.This position gave me an understanding of agile development methods, SAFe and Scrum, in addition to proving to myself that I am able to both adapt easily and deliver quickly.

With the ownership change, my new responsibilities included negotiating with new suppliers, visioning the product range and designing the customer experience. During the summer season of 2018, there was a simultaneously decrease the general price level and an increase of overall sales.
