While still in my student years I have taken up a part time job with the Russian Airspace agency where I focused on delivering virtual crash tests for aircraft and tests of advanced designs. In my role I was closely liaising with the quant team which delivered indirect optimization and self-optimization modules for virtual airplane models and integrated those into a custom software framework.One of my key pieces of work there was to find ways to boost performance of IT systems through inclusion of desk PCs into the server clusters used for modeling and optimization.
