● Transcribe 10+ different interviews about Latino socioeconomic issues and mental health into documented form. ● Analyze participant interviews to create complex domains, themes, and subthemes based on the participant's answers. ● Develop a poster presentation based on qualitative findings and research and present the poster to fellow undergraduate researchers and Ph.D. professors. ● Attend weekly team meeting to discuss research progress, findings, and future projects and in-person events.

● Develop mindfulness skills by attending weekly guided meditation classes.● Interact with residents at the dementia campus through daily activities such as brain games and other physically limited games.● Visit patients at their homes while coordinating with therapists on treatment and patient interaction. ● Shadow a physician in the campuses’s inpatient unit, learning about treatment procedure and patient care.

A collaboration between The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and Barrett, the Honors College. Barrett College Fellows is an exciting opportunity for honors students to conduct scholarly work under the mentorship of ASU faculty. Barrett students who wish to engage in research or community outreach may apply for an unpaid, for credit, semester-long or year-long fellowship. Students will earn three honors credits for their participation.Program research was conducted at the Genes, Environment, and Youth Developent lab as headed by Dr. Jinni Su
