I work for the developer Citadel Capital where I have sold $37million worth of new commercial units in Hobsonville and Westgate in Auckland to investors and business owners. To date I've sold $97million worth of commercial units and residential land in my real estate career since 2020.

I started my own engineering design consultancy to provide engineering design resource to companies such as Fisher & Paykel Appliances (FPA). My most notable projects thus far have been helping the motor's team at FPA produce specialised motor prototypes for a critical customer design and testing review, as well as completing a design review of an innovative wheelchair system for a New Zealand-based start-up.

I contracted to Caliber Design, an engineering consultancy, on a range of projects incl. the development of an air-powered nail-gun product and the modification of a washing machine production line. The most exciting project was designing and project managing the introduction of a new production line at Sanitarium.

As a product development engineer, my core responsibility was to design and test the mechanical components of innovative, new electric motors. By developing these components, I gained extensive experience in:• Engineering design – from conceptual design, to detailed design, to life and destructive testing, to production commissioning.• Multi-level communication and project management through co-managing production line commissioning in China.• Delivering persuasive and informative presentations to key project stakeholders

I was employed by SCHOTT, a world-leading hi-tech glass manufacturer, as a Machinery and Systems Engineering Graduate. My projects included designing an impact-test apparatus and analysing the correlations between different glass-defect measurement techniques. The primary workplace language was German, followed by English. My original position was dissolved within a few weeks of beginning employment due to restructuring; none of the subsequent internal positions offered to me satisfied my ambitions.

I worked as the Engineer/1st Mate on board a 35’ sailing yacht in the Greek Islands for a summer season. In this role, I helped manage the renovation of the boat and I was in charge of maintaining the yacht’s mechanical systems. My core strengths in this role were:• Managing the contractors who I hired to repair and upgrade the boat’s mechanical systems• Negotiating with the Captain and the Owner on when and where to continue repairs while conforming to the Owner’s desired travel plan

Fisher & Paykel is New Zealand’s premier appliance manufacturer. As part of their annual summer research program, I researched, tested and interpreted the results of economically-viable, flame-power sensing techniques for gas-stovetops.

KiwiRail is New Zealand’s sole locomotive manufacturer. My main task was to design, develop and manage the production of new ‘draft lugs’ (support-brackets for the car connector couplings) for the Research Test Car. My other projects included the development of a parameter-controlled 3D CAD model of a portable staircase and assisting with the design of a paint shop ventilation-ducting system.

I completed an internship in an engineering workshop to gain a practical insight when designing, developing and managing mechanical systems. I operated MIG and SMAW welding machines, lathes, and milling machines on a variety of projects such as WWII tank maintenance and the support structures for a coal mine conveyor belt.
