I currently serve the SUNY Geneseo campus as an EMT-Basic in the state accredited SUNY Geneseo First Response Agency. I am responsible for providing fast and skilled emergency medical services to those in need and operate under the oversight of a crew chief. Currently I am pursing becoming a crew chief in order to take on more responsibility within the agency, as well as gain more medical experience.

During the summer of 2020, I worked as a Patient Care Technician in the Emergency Observation Unit at Unity Hospital- a part of the Rochester Regional Health system. During this time, I worked closely with nurses to efficiently manage day to day tasks while ensuring high quality patient care. Such tasks included taking vitals, ambulating/bathing patients, taking EKGs, and placing noninvasive catheters.

I was responsible for tutoring freshmen biology students enrolled in the Geneseo Biol 117 Introduction to Biology course. Every Thursday I attended a two hour workshop to go over the information students were currently learning, and on Mondays I co-taught a two hour long review session. In those two hours I ran an activity that incorporates topic information and answer questions the students have. The goal of each session was to actively engage the students with that week's course material. My goal, contrary to a "standard" review session, was to provide an active and engaging environment in which students were required to apply the information on a deeper level, as opposed to simply repeating lecture notes.
