Start working very young.At 14 in the dark chamber of a Photo CompanyAt 16 as office boy and later as assistant to the book keeperDoor to Door salesman selling books during day while I was doing my chartered account course at night. Only salesman that sold the entire catalogue to a single customer.Door to Door salesman of "reproduction of famous pictures in offset" up to the last year of the chartered accountant course. Best salesman of the year on 1973.After finishing the CA ourse, worked as deputy controller of one big agro-industry company for 2 months.In 1974 I joined Price Waterhouse up to 1976. Controller of Abbott, and Plessey untill started my own business on 1981, Protecnica, the 1st new private company created in Angola after independence.Protecnica lasted for 10 years under the Political regime at the time in Angola, PSE - Planified Socialist Economy... After the New York agreements of 1989, we would need to change the way of work... Partneres did not agree and this conducted to the "demerge" of Protecnica into 3 new companies, beeing Sistec one of them the heritadged the IT division. Car Div. & Comms Div. went to the othersI got my 1/3 of the such split, now Sistec that started on 1991 with 23 employees and one office in Luanda. Today, 2018, Sistec have 700 staff and is in 14 towns of Angola with 24 diferent offices. Just before the 2015 crises Sistec had 1310 employees. On 2019 I finally decide to leave executive positions in Sistec, SA and start preparing to retire. I bought and small company called Lello which was created in 1923 and I plan to finish my business life on a lower pressure doing something I like and investing and controling my investments. A special software to do that was developed, called SWEG, (a derivative of iPOPiSP). At present, Dec 2018, have @700 direct employees and have around 200 more in the sister companies; We reduced staff due to economic turmoil that started in Angola in 2015.Sistec was created in 1st July 1991 and is the split of Protecnica, Lda in 3 parts due to the un agreement between the Protecnica partners on how to drive the company in a open market and peace enviroment. Office products, Computer products, Reprography to public, Military Telecomunications and on the last 3 years of the company, Mitsubishi cars. It was us who introduced the Mitsubishi cars into Angola ( when we started there was only one Pagero in all Angola ). We introduced in Angola the PC´s and the management Software made in Cobol which today would be called ERP/HR/CRM. At the time there were in all Angola only 7 Main frames. We changed the complet Computer cenario in Angola. At the time as well we started our own PC brand that for a while was market leader... P3, P4, P4P, P4S, P5, P6, P7 ... This were the models that we introduce in the sequence of NewBrain and Casio. Both brands stop making computers one because went bankrupt and the other because abandoned the PC production. P7 was a 386 server allready.The software made in 1981 is still the same in use of Sistec and many clients today. The software was changed from CP/M+Cobol to MS-DOS+Cobol to PC-DOS+Cobol to NetWare+Cobol to SQLWindows+Ethernet+Web today. BUT the "root" is still the same and is based on my personal experience from Book Keeping and auditing most of it got in my PW experience where I invented by own way of work ... That experience have now more than 40 years today. The software is now called Innovation. Show less

I asked to be paid with same conditons, they did not, so, I quited. To replace me they "imported two men" and start using a lot of third part services. Up to picking water from the Well to home and cleaning the house by mother´s orders ... At the time I did not find any fun on it but today I consider that as a strong learning process.
