Current• Prepare USPTO filings, including review based on checklists, entry into electronic dashboard to send to IP Quality for double-checking, edits if applicable, routing to attorney for final review, completion of filing and reporting same to clients.• Interface with Foreign Filing to ensure complete foreign/international filings are received and to answer client-specific questions.• Manage U.S. and International patent & trademark dockets, generate and review CPi reports, provide follow-up through calendaring and diligent use of reminders. • Review incoming correspondence to prepare reporting of all new documents and deadlines to clients, for both patents and trademarks.• Send requests/instructions and interface with internal staff, foreign associates or outside vendors.• Independently handle non-substantive U.S. docket items such as formalities documents, transfer of rights via assignments, and other administrative client portfolio management.• Draft and prepare Information Disclosure Statement filings for attorney review/finalization.• Create “shell” response documents/letters for attorneys to complete, incorporating pending case/claims information and a summary of the rejections. • Open new matters and send case information updates to Docketing for CPI, IP Quality Assurance for IPDAS, and Accounting.• Maintain strong client relationship for Partner’s team (i.e. regarding billing inquiries and other client needs).• Review Daily Docket Clearance reports for deadlines pertaining to timekeepers' cases, check on status, discuss with attorney if necessary, ensure all deadlines are met, and respond to Clearance report to ensure action status is updated in CPI.• Organize and prepare files, docket information, and action items for incoming/outgoing file transfers.• Manage, track and complete large/long-term projects as requested by attorneys/clients.• Stays informed re: changes to rules/laws or filing/docketing procedural changes.
