I have always been curious to learn new things and found new technologies fascinating since I was young. I used to enjoy programming classes at school. I still remember the first programming languages I learnt at school was BASIC and LOGO. I used to execute every new technique I learnt practically. Then I learnt JAVA and my thirst for learning various programming languages increased. This is how I decided I wanted to pursue a career in Computer Science. I completed my Bachelors in Computer science from IIIT, Bhubaneswar. During this time I got a chance to work on various projects through internship and coursework but one experience which piqued my interest further towards research and development was during my third year. It was related to time series analysis of astronomical data using kernel functions. This also gave me a taste of how we can make difference in solving real-world problems. Thus, after completing my undergraduate studies I worked at Muvi where I worked on application with direct customer impact. The experience further helped boost my technical skills, improve my communication skills and above all understand how technical expertise can help change the world for the better. Hence, I decided to pursue higher studies and joined the Master's program in the Department of Computer Science at University of Texas, Arlington. It has been a rewarding experience in terms of exposure to various fields of study within the department related to artificial intelligence, computer programming, cloud computing and networking.My primary interest lies in making a positive impact through the use of existing and emerging technologies.
