Within the Anteris Consulting Group I am respondsible for the re-engineering of the paper based packaging

I want to help my customers to find the proper answers on their need for paper based packaging solutions.1 How to produce or receive the best packaging for their logistic situation.2 New packaging concepts to support the packed goods in market; How to create the difference?3 Cost reductions. By reducing the amount of paper4 Reduction of the Carbon Footprint, As per box less paper is used 5.New or modifications on converting machines.All these services are available for finding the best answer for the customers needs, based on experiences and a calculation method to estimate any box design on its stacking strength, combined with the paper materials used, etc.In the past more than 15 patents on packaging solutions and packaging machines have been developed.The project executed in the past 7 years have resulted in an average of 15% paper weight per packaging, so 12% in cost, and 15% in CO2 footprint.

As the specialties division is merged with the corrugated division the R&D activities are combined as well.

The main tasks as R&D director are finding answers on following questions:1. How are board parameters related to box behaviour.2. What kind of new packaging solutions are needed to extend the business and to maintain existing business.Examples are modified atmosphere packaging solutions on large size packaging. paper based packaging to ship fresh fish on ice. Pre-glued ready to use fruit and vegetable trays; new solutions for Bag in Box. New folding techniques to reduce the cost of a packaging; etc.3. How to produce these new packaging solutions and improve existing production steps. 4. Analyse complains out of the market and learn about it to avoid those in the future.In the years before, starting Mai 1987 until December 2005, similar activities within companies finally ending up through merging processes in the Smurfit Kappa Group, have been executed

In Oce I have been responsible for:1. The development of new image fixating system to cure the copy onto the paper. (june 1974-Januari 1978)2. General construction, assembling and testing of prototypes including problems solving of any kind. (Oce 7500) (Januari 1978-Mai 1983)3. The marketing definition of copying machine to be developed in specific market segments, (Oce 2500) (May 1983-April 1987)
