Iqbal Firdaus is the founder and type designer at Tegamitype. After graduating from the Jakarta Institute of Arts in 2019, he began his career with an internship at Studio Skato in 2018. In the same year, Iqbal was recognized as one of the winners of the prestigious ASPaC Indonesia competition and went on to represent Indonesia at the ASPaC Award 2018 in Tokyo, Japan. Since beginning his career as a type designer in early 2017, he has established Tegamitype, a design studio focused on the type design industry. In addition to his creative contributions, Iqbal is actively involved in teaching at the Type Design Club and participating in various collective activities with Type Dialogue. As an active member of the Indonesian Graphic Designers Association (ADGI), he also serves on the packaging design committee
