I’m the primary point of contact for both the Principle contactor (Jacobs) building manager and the other contractor’s leads working in the building (A role referred to as Building Owner on this project). At peak I was responsible for over 70 tradesmen, 8 Supervisors and a GF across days and nights. My primary responsibilities for this position include: ● I am responsible for M&P works in my building from construction through to sign off as reinstated and mechanically complete.● Enabling supervisors to overcome on-site issues and keep them fed with priority works to ensure the men are working productively and safely● Co-ordinating and working with other contactors as well as the Principle Contractor and Client● Preparing work packs● Engineering and red lining ISO’s● Liaising with the fab shop to bring in spools and adjust priority of works as required to meet needs on site● Writing and responding to TQ’s / RFI’s● Maintaining record of changes to scope using a COI system (Confirmation Of Instruction) ● Estimating man-hours for variation works● Planning out works for my building based on priorities provided by client, available works and available areas.     I originally started with Fabricom following a Graduate program to gain a wide and varied view of the company and industry as a whole. To achieve this I moved around different parts of the company for a few months at a time before moving on to another part of the company to gain new experiences in other areas. The areas of the business I was involved with included: HR, Business Development, Estimating, Safety, QA & Our heat exchanger division I then spent a year gaining onsite experience at the Isle of Grain LNG storage project located just outside Kent. During my time there I had a number of responsibilities including looking after weekly EVR reports, looking after weekly safety reports and looking after the test packs. My next project was on the Storengy Stublach Gas Storage Project working as a project engineer for the shop side of the job to fab and install 9 wellheads at site.From here I moved onto the Keppel Seghers Runcorn TPS project. I followed this job through from the initial tender working with the estimators, to site working as a field engineer and later a project engineer. I still currently working on this project and will continue to do so till the upcoming close-out.During my time with Fabricom GDF Suez I have also been training to become a charted with the ImechE. This is still ongoing.I have also started a 1 year Nuclear Training program with GDF Suez in Brussels with the goal being that I will have sufficient knowledge of the nuclear industry to allow me to work on the new build nuclear sites when they are given the go ahead and start construction.

    During my time at GSA I have mainly been focused on front end engineering tasks. I have been involved in the initial pricing of projects to take them through the design stage and give an as accurate as possible indication of how much the overall project will cost for our clients. I have looked after an Isometric design project as a project engineer during my time with GSA which involved conducting site surveys and sketching up pipe runs, interfacing with the client representatives, in person, via reports and over the phone, to provide progress and raise any issues, TQ’s, RFI’s etc. I was also responsible for looking after our design team and making sure the Isometrics were being produced to the correct standard.I have also took over one of our EPC contracts, a newer venture for the GSA division, and saw the construction phase through to completion in a dual construction manager/supervisor roll were I was responsible for a variety of tasks such writing out permits-to-work and issuing them, witnessing hydrostatic pressure tests, dealing with subcontractors, ordering materials, dealing with onsite engineering issues such as re-routing pipe runs, interfacing with the client to raise potential issues and provide progress. As well as this I was responsible for managing our onsite labour and keeping them working to progress the job.
