I have been working in the Human Services since 1988. I started working as a Substance Abuse Counselor ( CASAC) and have had many different positions in this field. I started to work at my present agency, HELP/ PSI in August of 1991 as a Substance Abuse Counselor working with patients with AIDS that also had substance abuse issues. I was promoted to Director of Residential Treatment Services and in 2008.In 2009, I was asked to transfer to Director of Admissions for our Residential Health Care Facility. That same year, HELP/ PSI was appointed a new CEO who introduced Business Development to our agency. He asked me to join the BD team as a Account Manager. In 2012, I received the first President's Award from the agency for linking the most patients to health care services. Shortly after, I was promoted to Regional Director of Business Development for the Brooklyn, Queens regions.
