As Managing Director of TIP Medical Communications, Ira Flood oversees all business functions to ensure that company goals are met. This includes leading his team in delivering breakthrough digital solutions, technological ingenuity, exemplary client service, and efficient project execution. Ira began his career with M2 Communications, where he served as a Regional Sales Director for seven years. During his tenure with M2, Ira worked extensively with pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device brand teams to understand and satisfy their immediate and long-term unmet medical communications needs. In late 2007, Ira took a brief hiatus from medical communications to pursue an opportunity with Natrol, a publicly traded nutritional supplement company. As Director of Mergers and Acquisitions, Ira was responsible for uncovering innovative, underutilized technologies that could help engage customers. He also spearheaded the acquisition of several companies and the subsequent sale of Natrol and its subsidiaries. Realizing that many of the technologies he discovered could be used to reach physicians and help improve patient care, in 2009 Ira founded TIP Medical Communications—the juncture at which his previous professional paths meet.Ira was born and raised in Malibu, California and went on to graduate from University of California, Santa Barbara with a B.A. in sociology. An avid golfer, Ira has competed in many USGA events over the years. He currently resides in Chester, New Jersey with his wife, two children, and two dogs.
