Provided strategic leadership and oversight for the nation’s largest breast cancer advocacy group. Directed the planning and evaluation of a wide range of education, research, and public policy programs that serve hundreds of member organizations and tens of thousands of individual members. Supervised all six department heads and three members of the Operations staff. Created and executed fundraising, marketing, communications, and messaging strategies. Wrote and edited grant proposals, reports, event scripts, and other materials for donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Developed and maintained relationships with Board members, corporate partners, foundations, individual donors, and grassroots advocates. Supervised the financial management of the 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) organizations, as well as a Political Action Committee, with a combined budget of $7 million. Oversaw management of human resources, information technology, and facilities.
Supervised and managed all non-artistic functions (i.e., fundraising, marketing, finance, human resources, facilities, and operational management) for a nonprofit professional Equity theatre with two performance stages and an extensive education and outreach program.
