Currently, I am Managing Director of Convexity Consulting Group, LLC, (CCG), a firm providing Accounting and Financial services to clients in the Washington Metro area. I have experience in the private sector, the not-for-profit sector and the federal sector. My skills include forecasting cash, preparing and reviewing bank reconciliations, reviewing payables and collections, debt agreements, capital expenditures and contracts. I have the ability to lead the required monthly disclosure process and to ensure matters are accurately identified and evaluated for internal and external disclosure. My work has included developing and analyzing budgets and budget policy for my clients and suggesting and implementing financial process improvements. I would use this experience to identify new processes and implement the infrastructure and systems needed to support your organization's mission. I have the background and maturity to establish and implement protocols to support effective prioritization, review and financial decisions. My background in financial advisory services has provided me with skills and knowledge in taxation, capital strategy, risk management, asset/liability management, liquidity analysis and control, general ledger and fixed asset accounting. I have the interpersonal skills and professional demeanor needed to establish and maintain solid working relationships with your entire organization, as well as key external entities such as banks and other sources of credit, vendors, clients, external auditors and regulators. Finally, my role as an Adjunct Professor of Accounting has allowed me to become extremely skilled at communicating complex and at times controversial issues and concepts to diverse audiences, a skill that is critical for building trust within an entire organization on financial and accounting procedures.
