Commercial Lines Insurance Assistant - Construction Department - Assisted to Account Managers in the day-to-day service of our clients insurance needs. Focused in providing the best service for retention of all clients. Also assisted in preparing summaries of insurance to send to clients for annual renewal review. Checked new and renewal policies and prepared them in binders to be delivered by the producer. Checked all endorsements and emailed to clients.

I was a Commercial Lines Account Manager. I was responsible for a book of business ranging approximately 1.3 million in premium. The majority of the accounts I handled were clients in the construction industry, most of these accounts were mid sized accounts they were concrete contractors, utility contractors, grading of land contractors, landscapers and small artisan contractors. I also had a variety of small accounts in other business professions. I was responsible to prepare renewal proposals on all the larger accounts and would remarket as needed to make sure that we were providing the clients with the best pricing and adequate coverage they needed. I would market and/or rate new business accounts as they were assinged to me by the office manager. Issued certificates of insurance on all clients at renewal and as needed through out their policy terms. I bound all renewals and new policies as agreed upon with the clients, invoiced premiums upon receipt of new or renewal policy numbers. I checked renewal and new policies for accuracy before mailing out to the clients. I handled all changes requested by clients as well as underwriting issues and/or requirements being requested from the underwriters to complete underwriting files to be kept up to date. I took claim information and reported the claims to the carriers and asisted the client as needed on the process of their claims.

I assisted account manager in preparing summaries of insurance to send to the clients on upcoming renewals, issued certificates of insurance, changes on policies as needed, invoiced all endorsements, checked them before mailing out to the clients. I was responsible for checking, invoicing and mailing out all direct bill renewals to the clients.

The first 3 years worked in the Commercial Lines Broker side and/Agency side of the operations at that Agency. I was an assistant to the underwriters, I was responsible for imputing all information on all applications into computer system to prepare submission to be sent to different carriers. I assisted in the online rating through the various carriers and also provided the quotes to the Agents. I assisted the account managers in servicing accounts written through the Agency side of the company, rating, requesting changes, invoicing and preparing policies and endorsements to be delivered to clients.
