Intervalo: Comunicación y Gestión para la Música Creativa (Communication and Management for the Creative Music) is a small firm specialized in artistic consultancy, publicity and public relations, communication and editorial contents related to music events. Based in Mexico City, among our clients are festivals (Oasis Jazz U Festival, Ars Futura, Riviera Maya Jazz Festival, Fundación Tónica’s Jalisco Jazz Festival) and specific musical series and concerts at indoor venues (Alterna Jazz, Centro Cultural Roberto Cantoral). Founders, Oscar Adad and Ariadna Reyes, are two music industry professionals with experience in tour management, production, publicity, artistic programming, social media management and content generation.

While studyng my Master's degree in Barcelona, I was a practicum student within the program Southern Exposure Performing Arts of Latin America (southernexposure.org). I was accountable for the research of potential curators with expertise in the Latin America's performing arts scene and the tailoring of documents in Spanish for a bilingual understanding of the guidelines of this program aimed to support US presenters to book Latin American artists.

I also worked on the artistic research and programming proposals for the company’s clients (festivals, cultural offices). My responsibilities included all the matters related to the planning, execution and wrapping-up of the company's projects (budgeting, some artist bookings, logistics, providers and staff supervision, liaison between artist and our technical staff, etc.). During my time in this company I was honored to work with artists from around 16 countries (Diego El Cigala, Alan Parsons, Compagnia Finzi Pasca, Omara Portuondo, Chris Botti, Aterciopelados, Fito Páez, among many others).

As a general coordinator, I learnt to use different hats, I could start by generating one-sheets or dossiers to try to pitch certain artist, writing press releases, organizing the travels and visas and, most of the times, I went on tour with the artist or company. Some of the artists I worked with: Ennio Morricone (Italy), Maceo Parker (USA), Bela Fleck and the Flecktones (USA), Eddie Palmieri (USA), John Scofield (USA), Baaba Maal (Senegal), Chavela Vargas (Mexico), Slava’s Snowshow (Russia), among many others.
