Responsible for ensuring correct submission of static data requests, reviewing set up and interdivisional liaison regarding future submissions. Performing data governance to ensure that data set up and requested conformed to agreed project naming conventions and standards•Built an Access database populated with data from a variety of sources to show current static set up (both divisionally and legal entity) in both the Ledger and Consolidation systems. This enabled me to make sure that the data was accurate and consistent across both systems and where errors were found submitted requests to correct data, resulting in the static data being accurate, consistent and fit for purpose •Successfully managed stakeholders both in the UK and worldwide, at regular meetings and on a one to one basis, keeping them informed of progress and deadlines and also requirements for new static data or changes to existing•Produced guidance notes and delivered training for the completion of the change request form which resulted in vastly improved accuracy of submissions•Reviewed the change requests for static data completed by the regions prior to submissions, thereby identifying and correcting any errors/omissions resulting in an accurate submission by the agreed deadlines•Identified a need reporting each of the RBS subsidiary legal entities. Proposed a few alternative set ups for the hierarchy and after discussions with project stakeholders, Group Chief Accountants, Group Reporting and Group Tax and once option agreed produced change requests for the set up allowing reporting for each legal entity•By completing the User Acceptance Testing of submitted changes within the agreed timescales, was able to identify any keying errors and ensured that they are corrected before the changes are made ‘live’ •Additionally worked for Group Reporting to align both the Profit and Loss and Average Balance Sheet chart of accounts.
