My passion for the fashion industry started from a young age as I would watch runway models, red carpets and classic movies like The Devil Wears Prada in the family room of my home in Northeast Iowa.As I got older, I began to realize how much the industry impacted my family with deep roots in my great-grandmother who, up until her passing, would lovingly design and construct dresses, quilts, and much more for my sisters and I. It wasn't until college that I discovered my, almost innate, knack for sewing and design. This time in my life was also when I discovered my passion for bridal, as I worked as a consultant for a local wedding dress shop. These discoveries, dating back to my days prancing around the house in plastic heels, led to to where I am in my career today. First interning at a bridal atelier in Minneapolis where I designed and constructed my first wedding dress... to now working at Essense of Australia, a force in the bridal industry, as a Garment Technician. I am excited to see where these opportunities take me in, as my mother says, "the best movie she's ever watched."... my life and career:)
