I worked as a theoretical cryptography researcher between 2018-2020. I advanced to candidacy and obtained the title CPhil on non-malleable codes. Then, I moved on to more applied fields, specifically, privacy-preserving, efficient, and fair machine learning, federated learning. I co-authored two papers, one was accepted at ICLR Socially Responsible ML workshop 2022 and the other one was accepted at Globecomm 2022. I advised a group of five undergraduate researchers on a research project about privacy-preserving semi-supervised learning. I was a teaching assistant for three different classes. -Was selected as a Global Teaching Fellow. -Learned about teaching machine learning and pedagogy.-My graduation lecture was about detecting microaggressions in Turkish using machine learning.
