Managing operations of DB Best Technologies. This covers a wide variety of things: supervising software development, delivery, customer support, legal aspects and general operations.

Irena arrived at Microsoft as a result of a DBBest (www.dbbest.com) aquisition by Microsoft in Feb 2005. She is responsible for general management of product development ogranization which develops SQL Server Migration Assistant (SSMA) for Oracle, Sybase and Access. That is a product that automates conversion process of schema, data, business logic and testing from competetive database to Microsoft SQL Server 2005. Irena has - continued leading and greatly expanded the software development and testing teams (previously established in DBBest). Currently managing a team of over 40 people, including an offshore team in Ukraine- applied Microsoft processes to the product development team- shipped 4 major releases since taking this position. Irena co-founded DBBest Technologies at 2003, a software startup that is focused on delivering automated database migration software. At this position Irena took different roles across the board: general management, software development leadership, marketing, finances, negotitatons and more.As a VP R&D Irena was responsible for- building a local and offshore team in Ukraine from scratch; day to day operations- setting direction and vision for product development- hiring and negotiations- patent application- etsablishing processes that worked particularly well in offshore environment- intorducing software development and testing processes in agile startup environment

Irena has held different position developing software for network management and embedded software. The major projects included- Responsible for DPI (Digital Program Insertion) field in the company: product development and integration, representing the company in Cable Labs for SCTE compliance tests, training field people on technology- Design and development of DPI components in Harmonic encoder and transrater products- Designed and developed NMS agent for several digital video devices- Designed and developed redundancy system which is responsible to automaticaly detect equipment failures and switch the signal to the best alternale route. This system was deployed in multiple Cable head-end sites. - Developing server components of NMS system that managed a large network of Harmonic digital video devicesTechnologies: C/C++, COM/DCOM, VxWorks, SNMP, MIB, MPEG-2, DPI for Ad Insertion

Irena was a developer of a web based network management system for a family of network switch products developed in the company.

Irena was involved in multiple small size software development projects.
