I am a biomedical engineer, PhD graduate, and passionate about applying data science and machine learning methods to solve problems within the healthcare domain.I earned my Master's degree in Bioengineering at the University of Padua (Italy), followed by a PhD in Medical Technology in the joint doctoral programme between KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Karolinska Institute in Stockholm (Sweden). My PhD work focused mostly on the use of machine learning and deep learning for brain MRI image segmentation and classification, as well as the analysis of structural brain changes caused by ageing and neurodegeneration.After completing my PhD in 2022, I started working as data scientist at IQVIA in London (UK), in the AI for Healthcare & MedTech team. Here, I work on the development of machine learning-based methods for early disease detection using data from electronic health records.
