Her career took a transformative turn when she entered the financial insurance sector, joining Hannover Re, one of the world’s largest reinsurers. There, she immersed herself in international insurance and risk management, building a rich experience that spans over 30 years and encompasses local, African, and global markets.Her academic achievements include a postgraduate diploma in Leadership and Marketing from the University of Cape Town, a Diploma in Business Management (PMP) from the Institute of Business Management, and an SBL from UNISA. Additionally, Irene has undertaken advanced corporate training through the Chartered Insurance Institute in England and Germany. She has completed numerous courses in training the trainer and has been actively involved in training entrepreneurs and providing advanced insurance underwriting training through workshops and case study-based problem-solving sessions.As an Associate of the Insurance Institute of South Africa and driven by a passion for contributing to the growth and development of the financial sector, Irene founded Khanyisa Group.
