Supervise the Shipping Department on dayshift.

Coordinate and process all orders that require any Value Added Services. Oversee a staff of 7 to 25 employees (during peak). Ensure all orders are processed correctly and in a timely manner. Accuracy and efficiency are key components to our success. Following up with key metrics and daily coaching of our employees helps me to build a stronger team.

Trained and developed agency staff to work in their respective roles in receiving, quality control, picking, processing, shipping, and trouble shooting. Worked closely with agency reps to ensure labor requirements were met and that all staff were fully trained. Followed up with additional training if needed. Assisted with the development and use of our current warehouse management system through creating Standard Operating Procedures by joining a team at our California Distribution centre and working with them to optimize throughput.

Overseen all aspects of the shipping department.

Member of the afternoon shift team of Superviors overseeing Joe Fresh Ecommerce division in addtion to all other areas of the warehouse. Helped initiate primary operations for the Joe Fresh line through testing and assisting in creating Standard Operating Procedures.

Supervised the processing department with a staff of approximately 20-60 employees at any given time, ensuring accuracy, meeting timelines, quality assurance, and reaching the customer on time.

My Responsibilities involved managing a unionized staff in the Q4 section of the distribution center. A staff of appoximately 25-45 employees reported to me directly ensuring proper ticketing, CA labels, packaging, and shipping labels were placed on product/cartons, and that all apparel was in compliance to Canadian apparel guidelines.

Performed many supervisory and management duties including opening and closing of the store, customer/vendor relations, coaching and mentoring employees, money handling, first responder, conduct product knowledge classes, facilitate orientation classes, WHMIS, merchandising, and loss prevention.
