On-camera experience includes working with established actors like Sigourney Weaver and Anthony LaPaglia in The Guys, and on stages in New York City with Kathleen Turner, Bebe Neuwirth, Gloria Reuben, Bill Irwin, Terrence Mann, Phyllis Somerville and Gerry Bamman. She is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and the Actors Equity Association. Irene served as president of the Bats, the resident company of actors at the Flea Theater in New York City, and was awarded the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council's Charles Maikish Award for "An artist who shows excellence within their field" for her work with the Flea Theater, under the artistic direction of Jim Simpson. She earned her B.A. in acting and directing at SUNY New Paltz, where she served as the president for the student producing organization, New Paltz Players.
