As project manager, my main activities are:- Lead and manage the project teams & main customer contact partner for the project during execution phases (from kick off until closure)- Support acquisition activities- Responsible for preparing and rework the total project plan including time and budget planning- Responsible for meeting both customer and ZF milestones, Key Process Indicators (Profit, Quality, Time) and interacting with customer through specific interfaces- Providing regular project status reports to customer and ZF management- Profit responsibility for product/ investments/ tooling and development/ budget planning and total project cost control- Guarantee the updated information availability about project, manage risks, issues and action plans to recover deviations- Management of modifications during the development process- Organizing and performing phase exit reviews, participating in customer audits, customer assessments, IATF auditsThe work in project management was accompanied by noteworthy accomplishments:- Effective management of 43 projects, including 18 applications, 10 cost reduction, and 15 running change initiatives involving stakeholders from 17 different countries. - Leading the award-winning team acknowledged with the ZF Quality Award for Best Launch in SWS in 2021, the leadership underscores the success of launches that embody the 'Project is Boss' philosophy. This approach prioritizes cross-functional collaboration as a key element.- Contributing to customer satisfaction through the attainment of the highest rating (5 points) in Supplier Development Process/Supplier Quality, Run@Rate/PPAP Maturity, Customer Communication during project execution, and New Operator Training and Operator Qualification. With 10 integrated productive processes, it became a unique case in Europe.The main objective of the internship was to enhance project management practices in tool development projects. Key activities included:- Development of an Integrated Project Management Process.- Managing projects across all phases, from initiation to completion.- Defining the Project Management Life Cycle through project phases and processes.- Identifying issues and implementing countermeasures.The work performed resulted in improvements in project management practices, with significant achievements:- Participation in 28 projects, successfully completing 10 of them.- Definition of 30 product development processes and 6 project management processes, incorporating the use of 6 project management tools: Project Sheet, Initial Plan, Progress Reports, Updated Plan, Open Point List, and Closure Report.- Implementation of the Integrated Process, enhancing project organization and planning, leading to a substantial 70% reduction in deadline non-compliance, equivalent to 14.6 days per project.- Identification of 15 value statements related to efficiency, legitimacy, power, control, and stakeholder satisfaction. Key value points included efficient resource utilization, adherence to project schedules and specifications, and enhanced project transparency, consistently emphasized by all stakeholders. Universidade do Minho is a public institution of higher education founded in 1973 in the city of Braga, becoming part of the group of "New Universities" and commencing its academic activities in 1975/76.In 2016, I was part of the welcome committee for new students, where I provided support for over 419 applications to higher education through the special access competition and the enrollment of 2699 first-year students.
