Aflatoun’s programme involves two key trajectories of learning; one focused on social skills, the other on financial education. Children learn about themselves, child rights, saving, basic financial concepts, and enterprise, by using a child-centrered learning teaching principle. 8 -16hours per week (Work placement- Unpaid)

Traineeship on the sustainability of our food system. The traineeship consisted mainly of research and trainingdays provided by professors from a variety of Dutch universities, among others Wageningen University and TU Delft. The program focused on the necessity of turning our consumption of animal proteins into a more sustainable, plant-based diet. By looking at the socio-cultural/economic/politic role food plays in our world, as well as the impact of food consumption on global poverty & inequality, our well being, international trade and the environment.Research content: What is the knowledge of youngsters about food and how can we raise awareness of the necessity of the reduction of animal proteins? 8 hours per week (voluntary)

When not using their own language at schoo not only indigenous languages disappear, but with them, indigenous cultures.
