Interior Design | Product Design and Concept Development.

The National Foundation for the Promotion of Happiness (abbreviated “the Happiness”) is a multicultural, not-for-profit network of artists, play writers, actors, musicians and volunteers who invest in children and teenagers in asylum-seeking centres. The Happiness organises creative activities on a regular basis in 30 asylum-seeking centres in the Netherlands. Creativity provides space. Art challenges, but doesn’t force. For children and teenagers it is of great importance to be able to demonstrate during their development who they are and who they can be. The company is pretty young (2008), very flexible and always changing. This means that working at the studio involves all sides of a design process.We work mainly from show to show, year round.We work both on production and new prototypes for the studioConcepts, designing, experiments, running the workshop, lots of handwork, modelmaking, producing, assisting with production of the collections, making molds, welding, building crates, sanding, creating prototypes, setting up a show, researching materials etc.

At DickEmbregts I learned the technical aspects of interior and architecture. I started making concepts for livings and making technical drawings for realization. all in Vector Works.

In this internship my task was to make drawings for costumers that needed advise and help with there new homes.
