This company works with small businesses to ensure their company's bookkeeping is done on time and accurately. Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and all other accounting entries done monthly and presented in report form, keeps the small business owner on top of their financial picture throughout the year. Irene's Bookkeeping works with their clients to ensure they are informed about their financial standing and can be successful with this information.Clients include, Leasing Company, Construction companies including many trades in the industry, Restaurants, Acceptance Companies, Retail - store and online, and non-profits.

As the Controller for this leasing company, I was tasked with keeping their accounting department running smoothly. Part of Westana's management team, ensuring the growth of the company as well as making sure clients' and employees' needs were met.

The duties performed at that time were ensuring rent by the residents was deposited on the first of the month; payroll was done biweekly, donations were tracked, payables were paid weekly and all general ledger entries were entered accurately. Financial Statements were done monthly for the Finance Committee and quarterly reports were done for the full Board.

The positions held were Administrative Assistant, President's Office and Administrative Assistant, Vice President Administration's Office. As well as ensuring all correspondence and communication with these offices were managed, these positions also supervised the reception desk and its employees. Responsibility to order all office supplies and maintain office equipment for the University was part of this position. This position was never boring as it seemed every month there was a new challenge. Payroll was taken on and done by the office; the world of HVAC's were learned as well as elevator maintenance. Learned about the hospitality industry with the University's rental rooms and how to order and situate parking lot signage. The University started administering RRSP's as a fundraiser, which became the responsibility of this position with the Vice President, Finance.
