I’m currently the Wellness and Prevention Programs Lead at Beyond Blue.Prior to this, Manager of Mental Well-being at VicHealth - Victorian Health Promotion Foundation. I oversee the development of community and public health approaches to improving mental well-being for marginalized communities. This involves driving research, program design, diverse partnerships and managing a multi-sectoral team of great people who are passionate about creating new knowledge and improving practice and policy.I have managed programs that build financial wellbeing, social connection and resilience, gender equality, workplace health and engagement in the arts. I've also led the design and development of tailored health services resources, training and forums across Australia and internationally. It's important to be able to translate what you know to the widest audience possible.I look for new ways to reimagine large and entrenched social problems and their solutions. I draw on data insights from lived experience, research and policy, and collaboration with partners. I've worked across health, education, local government, community and the arts to find solutions.I have provided advice on advancing mental well-being for young people and women to a range of organisations including the World Health Organisation, the Melbourne Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation, Movember and State Government departments.
