Selected to assist in the delivery of the Rosalind Franklin Laboratory. An incredible project to build the UK’s first testing megalab – the Rosalind Franklin laboratory in Royal Leamington Spa has opened and will be processing hundreds of thousands of COVID-19 samples every day to rapidly detect new variants and help stop the spread of the virus.Great to be asked to return to the Midland Metropolitan Hospital in Sandwell, following it's unfortunate "pause" due to the collapse of Carillion.Hospitals are my passion.

Having had the privilege of working on the £600M Manchester Airport T2 Extension, assisting with resolution of a developing design I was requested to return to the MMH project by Balfour Beatty to aid them in tendering and hopefully completing this desperately required hospital.

Working closely with the MEP design team, leading the Clinical Electrical Installation, developing the electrical design, assisting with scope development and sub-contractor appointment, manage the electrical installation paying particular attention to program, performance and commercial, develop and manage the electrical testing and commissioning, working closely with the Carillion build team promoting health and safety on site and supporting the Aecom design as required.

Senior Project Manager, responsible for the whole installation of the MEP services to a Energy from Waste Power Station, whilst advising the client on construction practices, regulations and health and safety, due to this being their first UK project.

Site Agent managing the total upgrade of the medical gases whilst maintaining an operational hospital. The project included Building Works, Mechanical and Electrical installations through to commissioning and handover.

Key decision maker in resolving the many design issues involved in such a large and complex building the British Transport Police Project, part of the Birmingham New Street Station re-development.

Short Tern Contract - Joined Galiford Try in March 2013, on a Short Term Contract (13 weeks) as a Consultant MEP Project Manager, after been asked to assist with their management of the M&E strategy including control of design, trade contractors, project quality, commissioning and procurement. I worked within their Pre-construction Team assisting with their processes from Pre-Tender, Post Tender and Post Award ensuring client understanding of how we were to manage the projects and ensure compliance whilst minimising risk to all stakeholders. Built excellent relationships with all parties. Galliford Try were successful in wining three out of five of the projects where I managed the M&E tender details, one lost and one on hold pending announcement.

Completion and profitability excelled beyond expectation.Naturally developed into Design Management to facilitate resolution of compliance issues with regards to difficulties with contractual responsibility, functionality or maintainability.

Chocolate Factory rebuild commenced at £4.8 M&E, although due to the unusual importance of the project, it developed into a £100M Chocolate factory new build, worth £18.5M M&E, £8M electrically over a twelve month period. The project is a fast track scheme, as it is a direct replacement for the original factory, which sadly was destroyed in a fire. Therefore, the client requires the building to be replaced snag free, in the shortest possible time frame. To expedite the works, NEC3: ECC Option E cost reimbursable was used. Due to the unique nature of this project, my time is spent helping the design team to develop the quickest most efficient and client appropriate design. Unfortunately, due only to the pressures of home life, caused by lodging away from home, I decided to move to a company which had work within a reasonable travelling distance from home.

Electrical project engineer responsible for up to 11No consecutive PFI School new builds and refurbishments. A total of 25No schools completed in 4.5 years. Excellent client relationships which continue through today.

Site Electrical Project Engineer. Collation, coordination of all required information to facilitate contract completion. Excellent ability to identify missing or incorrect data, advising the design team of suitable solutions. Mediation between various parties.

Managed Electrical packages from tender through the handover. Client satisfaction is critical.
