Heading the contract/agreements section of the airline. Responsible for ground handling agreements (based on IATA SGHA) for the PIA flights operating overseas. This includes, initiating cases, tendering, negotiating and finalizing the agreements. Work scope also includes as selling of the PIA ground handling services provided to other airlines operating into Pakistan. Another additional assignment is the arrange all aspects of ground handling of VVIP flights of Pakistan's head of state and Prime Minister while he is on overseas visit. Attending corporate level meetings, facilitating IOSA and other related audits etc.Trained on ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and using the system for the section.

Looking after all the areas related to airline operating at a particular station i.e. station management, flight arrivals and departures, liaison with airport authorities and regulatory bodies of the country, financial aspects of the station along with budgetary implications, settlement of passengers complaints and baggage issues. In addition to station management also held the charge of station sales i.e. ticket sales for 9 months. It was challenging to look after 2 responsibilities of different natures and was successful in increasing the sales, even though the flight frequency was reduced due to operational reasons. During my tenure as Station Manager, on PIA aircraft A310 had an accident while landing at MCT airport, its landing gear collapsed at touchdown. All evacuation was smooth without any injury to a single passenger. Subsequent accident enquiry proceeding were held very smoothly at station level.
