Tufts Dental Faculty Practice is a full-service option, where patient care is provided by experienced faculty members. Although it is part of the dental school, it is not a teaching clinic. Leading clinicians, researchers, and experts in the field of periodontology, oral and maxillo-facial surgery, and implant dentistry to influence cutting-edge innovations in the field of regeneration and biomaterials.Education: Played a pivotal role in transforming the New Hire Training program, using a case-based format and adding a hands-on component based on feedback from different departments. She also worked closely with colleagues to design educational programs focused on therapeutic indications (rather than products). Her collaborative efforts in aligning the content, format, and delivery of these programs with dental school curricula (GPR/AEGD, Periodontology, OMFS residency programs) have earned the recognition from the American Dental Education Association, with a manuscript in the Journal of Dental Education.Clinical: Helped raise Geistlich's profile in various clinical settings, engaging with practitioners from diverse backgrounds and career stages. Her work on the "Vallomix MTA" initiative enabled the team to identify a successful pathway from the first use of the biomaterial to publication in scientific journals, national presentations, or marketing materials used by all. She directed the Summer Clinical Science Fellowship Program, which provided a formalized mentorship program for young clinicians and researchers interested in collaborating with corporations. Additionally, she worked with some Osteology Foundation Board Members to organize the "Regeneration Hack-a-thon", which envisioned the USA National Osteology Group.Research: Facilitated a landmark research collaboration with world-renowned allograft experts as the company expanded the portfolio in the allograft space. She also coordinated the initiation of multiple research projects - university and private practice-based.
