Research Engineer Assistant (Intern In Bionanotechnology)Laboratoire D'Ingénierie Des Systèmes De Biologiques Et Des Procédés (Lisbp) Feb 2012 - Jul 2012Région De Toulouse, FranceLipid bilayer membranes have been developed as models of biological membranes in order to better understand the cell life sustain processes. Membrane proteins play a determining role in these processes and their complexity makes their study become a difficult task. As a consequence of this, numerous innovative developments were carried out about the designing of “artificial” membrane systems in several forms: solid-supported lipid bilayer (SLB), tethered bilayer lipid membranes (tBLM) or suspended bilayer lipid membranes. Many applications of this new tool were developed in the last decades, in particular, the reconstitution and the understanding of the Escherichia coli flagella mechanism is the core subject of the FLANAMOVE Project. Then, the scientific approach chosen by the team consists in the design of biomimetic membrane, closed to the E.coli one, and in the “nanomotor” membrane proteins integration within this structure.Combining QCM-D and AFM technologies, complemented by the Cell-free expression system, seems to be an interesting strategy for the characterization and the development of the design.

Analytical Chemistry InternSynelvia Jun 2011 - Sep 2011Bovine mastitis is the most significant disease of the dairy farming and presents two forms: clinical mastitis and subclinical mastitis. The last one is so difficult to detect because it has no effect on the quality of cow milk. The purpose of the lipidomic study of cow milk is to screen the potential biomarkers of the inflammation by the mean of different chromatographic techniques. And then, the treatment of the infection would be greater and more efficient if an early diagnosis could be led.Three families of lipids composing milk: fatty acids, eicosanoïds, and triacylglycerols were quantified from a population of subclinical mastitic cows.HPLC-Corona / LC-MS/ GC-MS/ Lipid extraction

Lab Technician (Intern)Institut Charles Gerhardt De Montpellier - Umr 5253 Apr 2009 - Jun 2009Région De Montpellier, FranceThe CYP153A take part of the cytochrome P450 enzyme family and is interesting due to its ability to catalyze useful hydroxylation and epoxidation reactions of hydrophobic compounds as alkanes and alkenes. Moreover, their catalytic efficiency can be enhanced thanks to the fusion of CYP153A with a P450-redox partner (as a reductase domain), during the reaction. Within the framework of my internship with the MACS team, I focused on the cloning and the expression system of CYP153A13 enzyme, to realize the hydroxylation reaction of aliphatic alkanes.
