A project manager who can juggle multiple projects at once. An event professional with an extensive background on both the "buyer" and the "supplier" sides of the industry. And a master of follow-up and follow-through.I completed my Bachelor of Science in Entertainment Management, with a focus on Event and Venue Management, at Missouri State University in December 2015. From there, I moved to Nashville, TN the day after graduation, and took up the position of Events Coordinator at the world-famous Grand Ole Opry House, where I had the opportunity to regularly interface with clients, vendors, and various internal teams to produce top-tier events such as corporate receptions & dinners, filmings, concerts, and award shows. At Southwestern Travel Group, I have personally helped build out three business divisions from the ground up and have helped the business grow from a start-up to a multi-million dollar company. I have sharpened my organization, negotiation, and creative problem-solving skills through my experience in organizing events of different scopes and sizes, all over the world. These events include, but are not limited to, national sales meetings, leadership meetings, international incentives trips, and virtual events. In this role, I had end-to-end accountability to plan and execute events, including, but not limited to, budget development and management, creating and managing registration and pre-event details, sending RFPs, negotiating and securing vendor partners including hotels, tours, dining & special events, excursions, and ground transportation, and completing all post-event tasks including feedback surveys and invoice reconciliation. As a Certified Meeting Professional, my goal is to deliver programs that align with each organization’s goals and objectives while satisfying both internal and external stakeholders. I work well under pressure and I pride myself on being both responsive, process-driven, and a team player. In my personal life, I love to travel and experience new things, as well as meet new people. My family and friends are most important to me. I am the happiest in the summertime where I can spend many of my days on the water (floating, boating, canoeing, or just soaking up the sun) or in nature (hiking, camping, bonfires, etc.). My interests include home decor, tending to my plants (a newfound "quarantine" hobby), and, reading, especially non-fiction. I'm a type A person that loves to stay busy and continuously learn and grow.
