I am an economist with a First Degree from the Department of Economic and Regional Development at Panteion University and a Master’s Degree in “Sustainable Development” at Harokopeio University. Through my academic interest in regional planning, I continue my studies as a Ph.D. Candidate at Panteion University and the name of the thesis is “ The cultural Dimension of Maritime Spatial Planning.”Having developed a passion for EU values and international relations already during my studies as volunteer researcher I took part in the seminar of Νational Contact Point of the European Program ESPON 2001-2013 European program, where my professional interest in matters of European policy and protection of the natural environment occurred.During the last years, I have managed the EU projects on behalf of both the South Aegean Region and South Aegean Development Agency in Rhodes, Greece. My responsibilities include the projects’ entire implementation, submission, financial monitoring, and closure. This position has allowed me to acquire excellent skills in multitasking, time management, coordination, and unique experience in Greek and EU public administration procedures. Moreover, I am in constant close communication and exchange written correspondence with project administrators and stakeholders in Greece and other EU countries, maintaining a good relationship and coordinating workflows, performing administrative monitoring and quality checks on incoming and outgoing files, and ensuring their timely processing.In my current position, I have also been responsible for organizing numerous internal and external events, from meetings and workshops to training events and international conferences, arranging logistics, travel and accommodation details, procurement procedures, and every other relevant procedure. On multiple occasions, I have also provided ad hoc organizational support for specific events co-organizedby the Region of South Aegean under the project included in the “European Gastronomy award for 2019.”
