Early on in my journey as a physician, I embraced my emotions and let them fuel my professional pathway. They are the ones that made me step out of my traditional day-job roles in medical centers and enabled me to treat thousands of refugees in need in Africa and Greece, co-lead and take part in political campaigns that made unprecedented breakthroughs in the history of the Israeli healthcare system and spearhead international fundraising campaigns in the US that raised millions of dollars for humanitarian causes. Top Down-Bottom UpSelected for AIPAC’s 2016 policy conference keynote speech in Washington D.C., I addressed an audience of 20,000 live with global media coverage, sharing my experiences in humanitarian missions. That keynote speech, with Beiden, Clinton, and Trump on stage, translated into dramatic growth in pledges and giving that year by millions of dollars. 6 years later, that speech serves IsraAID’s fundraising campaigns. Medicine for GoodServing in some of the world’s most challenging hotspots facing socio-political crises around the globe - I initiated collaborations with leading UN and human rights organizations and international leaders, rallying global support that enabled us to extend our reach to thousands. It was both field training sessions and the meaningful relationships I built that enabled me to rally stakeholders that were until recently strangers, for shared action.Bottom Up - Top DownJoining the founding team of the resident physicians’ first labor union 11 years ago, I led the first-of-its-kind protest for just working conditions. Reaching the country’s most influential mass media channels, while mobilizing government ministers for change, we have achieved unprecedented breakthroughs - uniting forces within the public healthcare system for stronger infrastructures for emerging physicians. I’m a medical doctor, a social entrepreneur, a public speaker, and a Human rights activist.
