I worked in wards and in Outpatients. My training was in Northern General Hospital, Hadfield 4, Gastro and Liver problems, where I worked for 6 months full time and doing some bank in other wards as required by my ward manager (Brearley, Huntsman, MAU, Firth) I worked in Outpatients in the Royal Hallamshire Hospital (ENT, Dermatology, Gral Outpatients and in the Ambulance service). I loved the job.

Since arriving in the UK in 2009, I have been involved in e-learning in my work for the ReViCa project, for which I gathered information on e-learning and digital campuses in universities in Latin American countries. The work involved translating from Spanish into academic English (something that my college experience in the US and my Masters at Sheffield Hallam University have helped me with considerably). I worked here while I was studying my MA. I used to prepare and serve food, keep the restaurant tidy, and attend to customers. These are the best burritos I've eaten in my life.

I was Graphic Designer for the Monterrey and Saltillo editions of the trade newspaper ’Industrial Community’, printed monthly in tabloid size. I was responsible for checking customers’ ads and designing new ads to be published. I used Photoshop to retouch pictures and design editorial notes in addition to making the digital file that was sent to the printer. I kept their website updated too. I also designed ads for the publication “DIM” for Mexico Industrial Maps Magazine, distributed in several industrial zones in Mexico. I was the only designer in Monterrey, but kept in touch with designers from other regions where this newspaper is published too.

I collaborated to design the corporate magazine “Juntos” for the Pepsico enterprise. I also designed supporting graphics for training personnel, maps for suppliers, and advertising brochures for products. We were a dozen designers working in different projects at the same time.

I worked in the ITESM Communication and Image Center designing documents, presentations, posters, and logos. I helped to apply the corporate design to the Monterrey region, to design thematic web pages and to keep their web page updated.

I used to design corporate images for different companies and assist in marketing.

I made illustrations and took photographs to be printed on clothing and on ceramics. We used screen painting for ceramics and transfer for clothes.

I taught Office for Windows to classes of around 30 students and I was a tutor in Corel Draw, a design software package. Later I was in charge of the design department for this educational institution. I designed paperwork, adds for newspapers and corporative images.
