Striving for a seamless and efficient cooperation together with the convenor, members and the secretariat.The main purpose of the StG Strategy is to define and develop a strategy for European System Operators (members of ENTSO-E) to meet future challenges and changes in the power sector beyond the day-to-day operations. The strategy considers both system and market developments as well as advances in technology.

Laki Power supplies power grid operators with advanced line monitoring tools and intelligence that enable them to optimize performance, safety and cost, and respond to the increasing challenges of renewable energy and smart grids.

Landsnet is the Transmission System Operator in Iceland. The company operates under a concession arrangement and is subject to regulation by the National Energy Authority, which determines the revenue framework on which the tariff is based. Our Board of Directors is independent of other companies engaged in the generation, distribution or supply of electrical power. The Landsnet grid receives electricity directly from power stations and transmits it to distributors and power-intensive industries in Iceland.My role as Executive Vice President of System Operations & ICT is to optimize the operational security of the grid through co-ordination, balancing and control as well as through the development of smart grid solutions for increased reliability and flexibility.

The Top-level Research Initiative (TRI) is the largest joint Nordic research and innovation initiative to date. Programme Committee for "Integration of Large-Scale Wind Power" has the objective to promote the development of new, innovative and sustainable forms of wind energy and the integrational aspects. Three projects have been granted funding within the programme, budget approx. 30 MNOK.
