I primarily engage the transportation, utility, and agricultural sectors on pollinator habitat conservation initiatives; facilitate the Rights-of-Way as Habitat Working Group and Illinois Monarch Project; and support other related pollinator habitat initiatives. The Right-of-Way Stewardship Council is an accreditation program that establishes standards for responsible right-of-way vegetation management along corridors. The program promotes the application of Integrated Vegetation Management and best management practices to utility vegetation managers in order to maintain power system reliability and address ecological concerns.

As a Senior Engineer on First Environment's climate change team, I provided consulting, validation, and verification services in the field of greenhouse gas management. Specifically, I served as a Lead Verifier for multiple project types under the Climate Action Reserve and California Air Resources Board Cap-and-Trade programs and additionally worked with the Verified Carbon Standard, American Carbon Registry, Chicago Climate Exchange, and The Climate Registry programs among others.I helped develop First Environment's Quality Assurance Plan under the EPA's Renewable Fuel Standard and provided technical support and third-party engineering review services for multiple renewable fuel production facilities, including some of the first biogas-to-LNG/CNG producers registered for Renewable Identification Number (RIN) generation in EPA's program.Additionally, I provided third-party environmental regulatory compliance auditing services in the manufacturing and healthcare industries.

As the Environmental Engineer at the John Deere Ottumwa Works manufacturing facility, I managed a number of key environmental programs, such as air compliance, hazardous waste management, storm water pollution prevention, spill prevention, and waste minimization. I maintained the facility's environmental management system, developed and gauged environmental performance metrics, conducted employee training, and performed all necessary local, state, and federal environmental reporting.

I served as the Iowa DNR pollution prevention intern at the Archer Daniels Midland facility in Clinton, IA. My projects included developing a plan for facility-wide cardboard recycling and implementing storm water and oil pollution prevention measures.
