TTI Family of Specialists | A Berkshire Hathaway CompanyThe Manager of Human Resources is responsible for executing HR strategies, developing policies, and ensuring compliance with legal regulations to achieve business objectives. This position manages a team responsible for recruitment, employee relations, policies, legal compliance, compensation, payroll, and benefits administration, supporting Corporate and Business Units in North America.

Leads Branch HR Advisor Team. Provides Coaching/Consultation for Sr. Operations Leader, Regional Branch Directors and Operations Support. Develops and executes key HR initiatives for Branch Operations. Partner with COE’s. Lead, support, facilitate and drive people processes across client areas. Drive overall business performance and associate engagement by proactively diagnosing issues and opportunities and take the necessary actions to address the issues. Deliver target and efficient HR program and services including talent planning, succession planning, leadership development, performance management, workforce planning, communication, change management, training, and diversity initiatives.

Territory includes Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, North Carolina and Washington. Talent Management: Ensure the development and retention of top talent through the use of Leadership Development, Performance Management/Assessments, Organizational Development and Review. Recruitment/Staffing: Attract and engage highly talented individuals. Build the strength of the talent pool. Evaluate talent against the competency requirements for each role. Apply use of salary grades consistency creating equitable treatment. HR Administration: Support HR federal, state and policy compliance at the store level. Serve as a liaison between the field and Home Office for all associate issues as they pertain to compensation, benefits, on boarding, etc.Advocate/Business Partner: Support leadership as a strategic partner, an employee advocate and a change agent mentor. Employee Relations: Partner with operations to maintain employee/company relationships that contribute to satisfactory productivity, motivated employees and healthy employee morale. Prevent and resolve employee issues which arise out of or affect work situations.

Responsible for the strategic direction of Employee Benefits for this independent school district of over 7000 employees. Collaborate with Finance in developing/managing a $40,000,000 medical plan budget and determined the appropriate allocations and accruals for the programs. (Medical, Voluntary plans, Flex, 457 Deferred Compensation/403Tax Sheltered Annuity plans, EAP) Other responsibilities included resolving Texas Teacher Retirement issues, new hire on- boarding/orientation, FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA compliance, Employee relations/investigations, safety, workers’ compensation, FMLA, health, and wellness.
