As a nonprofit consultant I work with board members and CEOs of small nonprofits to grow healthy effective organisations. This includes strategy development, risk and financial assessments, leadership transition support and serving in interim executive roles.--- My work as a nonprofit consultant has taken me to Denver, Colorado Springs, Durango, Greeley, Alamosa, and Pueblo as well as most counties in southeastern Colorado. Contracts have included roles as interim director in three Colorado AHEC's, Transition Coordinator at a nonprofit in Alamosa, Transition Coordinator at the Small Business Development Center in Pueblo, along with grant-writing and organisational assessments for a number of other entities.--- In my work as bank officer and commercial lender in Colorado Springs I had the opportunity to work with a variety of nonprofits including serving as founding board member of the Peak Venture Group — an effort which led in part to receiving the Colorado Spring’s Gazette’s “Woman of Influence” award. Prior to my time in Colorado Springs, I worked as Director of Special Projects at the San Luis Valley Board of Cooperative Services in Alamosa where I wrote grants and served as a founding board member of the San Luis Valley Boys and Girls Clubs. For this work I received the “Governor’s Outstanding Individual” award.---I hold an MA in Organizational Management and recently completed Harvard University’s on-line certificate course, “Exercising Leadership: Foundational Principles.”Additionally, I hold an IRS Enrolled Agent designation (inactive) and a real estate broker’s license (inactive). I have been certified as an SBDC Business Counselor for 10+ years. I hold a BA in biology/chemistry and earned a secondary teaching certificate.Skills: Nonprofit Organizations
