With I-OPENER Innovation & Design, I aim to create a real eye-opener within organizations. I-OPENER stands for innovation, creativity, new insights, connecting, and a whole lot of fun. By looking at everything in just a slightly different way, there are many new and different ways to address problems. We achieve the best insights when everyone in the organization contributes to a process of innovation and creativity. I do this by consultancy, creative sessions, workshops, innovation trajectories, and follow-ups.

Master in Imagineering

My work for this all-round travel agency includes informing, advising and guiding customers in the holiday sales process. In addition, the development and updating of the website are my responsibilities. This includes realizing the online booking possibilities, but also writing the content and writing holiday blogs to generate more (online) sales.

During these months, I applied the imagineering methodology at the safety department of the Moerdijk municipality. Subversive crime is a complex problem in the current society and where most of the safety agencies are trying to move on, is a new perspective and approach needed. For this reason, all the internal stakeholders were involved in a process of collaboration and co-creation where they discovered the organizational strengths together.

As a part of the master's degree, I was together with three other Imagineers involved to the project #naardekern of the Belgian province of Limburg and the association of entrepreneurs Unizo. The aim of this project was to explore the DNA of various municipalities in Limburg. During this study, we were responsible for the municipality of Leopoldsburg. By organizing creative sessions where stakeholders went into a dialogue, the strengths of the municipality were (re)discovered amongst the involved stakeholders.

During my graduation period, the focus was on improving the value experience and value creation of the physical travel agency. The emphasis was on creating synergy in the online and offline services, which would create a value fit between consumer and organization, with the aim of a stronger position in the current market.After completing the thesis, I was able and allowed to implement various recommendations myself. For example, I developed a new website that really reflected the values that are important to consumers when booking a trip. I also responded to the growing need for the online knowledge of the physical travel agency by publishing blogs I still write every two weeks.
